William Clarke - restoration?
« on: Wednesday 27 March 19 23:33 GMT (UK) »
This is William James Clarke, the grandson of my great-grandfather.  In other words, his aunt was my grandmother.  (I can draw a diagram if you like  ;D )  I would love to have it cleaned up, because it seems to show that what we've always called Godden looks (after my father) are in fact Clarke looks (after his father-in-law).
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Hi...Is there any chance that you could scan the photo at 300dpi as this is only scanned at a very low 96dpi and the file size is very small at only 38kbs and pixelates on enlargement, you can post a file size of up to 500kbs. The extra effort will get a much better result and printout.

Here's a quick job, but like Carol said higher resolution would help.

Thank you both.  I can't do anything to make this photo higher resolution.  It was emailed to me by a distant relative, and I can't now ask her to re-scan it.  I understand the difficulty, but thanks again for trying.
