Hello,

This gentleman migrated to the United States in 1881 with his wife, Emma.

I have identified him in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 Census Returns for Cambridge Ward 2 (1900) and 4 (1910/1920), Middlesex, Massachusetts.  However, I have been unable to confirm both their deaths and wonder if someone could help please.

Thank you

Doesn't give much information but there's an Arthur Bassett death in 1927 New Bedford Mass.  Don't know what age though  :(

If he was still around in 1920 he would already be in his 80's.

Ah better option perhaps there is one in 1921 Boston Mass.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Haven't proved or disproved this one but it is the right area - Arthur Bassette (as it was spelt) in the Massachusetts Death Index passed away 1923 Cambridge Massachusetts.

Vital records in Massachusetts are held at the city and state levels. If you request them, the city has been cheaper in the past, when I dealt with them. Compare both.

Looks like 1923 is already at the State Archives: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/arc/arcvitalrecords/vitalrecordsidx.htm

They might soon be online at that rate. I forget what the cut off time span is. Looks like the state might be cheaper, only $3.00, but records from 1921 to 1925 are only available in person or by mail at this time. They say by US Mail, but you could ask if they would send them to the UK. Their contact page:

https://www.sec.state.ma.us/seccon.htm

The archives are easy people to deal with, if I remember right.

Here's Cambridge, just in case, but they look tougher to deal with.

Edited to add more rambling thoughts throughout.

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you for confirming the dates of death for Arthur and Emma BASSETT.

I am extremely grateful as it helps me complete a small family history project.

For the moment,
