Hi,
My 4th great grandfather James Warwick was born around the Blackmore / Chelmsford area about 1789 or slightly before. I was wondering if anyone who had access to the online records system might be able to check if there is any baptism record around that time, and also a marriage arecord around 1910 to Margaret (Knight possibly). I have dna matches to other descendents of Waricks in the Chelmsford area in the mid 1700s so  I am only one or two ancestors from being able to link this up.
Thanks very much for any help!
best, Tom

It's all online. It's not limited to the local library.
It's not expensive, if you plan what you are looking for

Thank you, yes I'm aware it is online, though I'm not personally very good at reading old handwriting, plus no experience in the Essex records, so was asking in case someone who already had access was willing to help me here - I understand if that isn't the case, but no harm in asking I hope  :)

I don't think there is a marriage at Blackmore for James Warwick and Margaret.
Bit of background -
The first indexed baptism to them at Blackmore on FamilySearch appears to be a son James, 17 May 1812.

New Register
27 March 1814
Ann
daughter of James + Margaret Warwick
abode Blackmore
father a Sawyer

Thankyou! yes I agree with those baptism dates for the children. If there is no marriage record in Blackmore then I would have to guess they got married somewhere else (assume where she was from) but I will not be likely to track that down until all the records are indexed.

Well, the last Warwick baptism at Blackmore may be Emma, 3 October 1824. Father James a Sawyer.

Couple of possible burials at High Ongar
Margaret Warwick, 21 July 1825, age 39, abode is High Ongar :-\
James Warwick, 1 October 1826, age 14, abode Blackmore

And a James Warrick, Sawyer, is in Ingatestone in 1841 and 1851. Married to Sarah. In 1851 he is 73, born Baddow.

But is this the same James?

Thanks again - yep Emma was the last one  I had too.
I've attached the record for James from son George's marriage - i cant read the occupation tho.
The burial for James Warrick aged 14 is not his son, as that is my ancestor - so that means there must have been another James there born similar time.
The census records you have found with correct occupation could well be correct, bit the birth date would mean I need to find a first wife for him .. im trying to look into all these things!
