Hello

Can anyone assist me please I had an uncle
Alfred Smith  DoB oct 1917 in Derby   Died 1970 in Bury Lancs.
He married a Lillian Morris oct  1946 in Bury  Lancs
I was looking for any army service during the war not sure which regiment and also did they have any children.   I may have cousins or relatives I know nothing about so any information gratefully received
I know its a question into the abyss but maybe someone could shed some light on this

Have you tried searching freebmd for any births of children with surname Smith mmn Morris in the area they were living.

We cannot post details of anyone who may still be living

I wonder if Lillian was a widow and any children would be listed with her maiden name instead of Morris

I noticed the death of  Lillian Smith -  Birth 06/06/1915 - Death 09/1996 Bury  It may be worth searching on the 1939 Register for a Lilian with that birth date
