george albany johnstone/ albany george
« on: Friday 05 April 19 20:47 BST (UK) »
Hi, The above named i believe to be the son of Albany Storer Johnstone and Mary Ann Stamp nee' Raymond. His parents married 1840 in the UK. He only seems to appear at the age of 8 on the 1851 uk census with mother and 2 half sisters, Amy R(Emma) and Mary Ann. I have a strong feeling he may well have gone to Australia. Any sightings of him there would be welcome. Thanks

John

Hi, I should start off by saying that this was a mistake on my behalf in posting in the first place. That said I should say in reply to giblet that the marriages they posted are mother (1841) and daughter 1863, the other named at the same time is the daughters half brother George Albany Johnstone. I really do not need to go any further with that line of research other than to say if anyone can find Albany Storer Johnstone after 1842 Westminster rate books it would be a bonus. The posting by Wivenhoe is mine but not sure what the marriage of Henry Johnstone has to do with this enquiry.
I really appreciate all the help I get from fellow researchers when I submit a post but this one can be confined to the past.

Regards

John
