Samuel Wells in 1841
« on: Monday 15 April 19 17:40 BST (UK) »
Samuel Wells, a tailor, was admitted to the Castle Street workhouse in Westminster on Sept 1841 when he was described as aged 84 from St Martins.

Can anyone see him in the 1841 census?

No census but I did find the following burial, which ironically was his discharge date from the workhouse.
Samuel Wells Age:   85 Abode Wokhouse
Burial Date:   10 Aug 1842
Burial Place:   St Martin in the Fields, Camden Town, Camden

Yes, I have that; but thanks for looking.
I think he must have been 'discharged' dead, rather than die the day he was discharged.

Samuel Wells Age:   85 Abode Wokhouse

I love the typo. Is it where they teach Chinese cooking?
