John Deacon born 1853 Oakham

John Deacon is missing between the 1871 and 1911 Census. Have tried everything I can think of! Any ideas please

There is an 1890 Militia Attestation for John Deacon born Oakham.  Says he is 34, which puts the age out slightly, a Bricklayer, and that he had previously served 14 years with the 3rd Leicester Regiment & was discharged 17 May 1890.  His address is given as 6 Plattoff(?) St, Nottingham.

Seems his mum remarried to a Job Atton and in 1861 he is living with them

The attestation says he is married with one child, so I'm wondering if this is him in 1881, in Nottingham
