Have located both newpaper article and burial so thank you very much.

It seems highly likely this person is the William WAIN I am seeking.

Looking for records for Bridewell Prison and specifically looking for records related to William WAIN.

I came across the following but not sure if this is th prison to which William was admitted?

William Wain of the County Bridewell, age 40, was buried on 7th December 1836 at St Mary De Castro, Leicester.
