If you enter Ancestry in the blue lined box, a list of Ancestry cookies will be listed. You can then either 'delete all listed' or select individual ones from the list and delete those.

You could get Firefox to remember your Ancestry password. It won't be deleted when you delete the cookies.

I've been deleting all Ancestry cookies and I have no problems with getting back on the site.

Password Manager stores Passwords...

So if I delete all my Cookies I still have my Passwords.

If I've looked in the right place, my Firefox is ESR  52.9.0 (32 bit) which means absolutely nothing to me but its apparently one of the few I can still use on Vista (told you it was ancient!).

I have to own up to being hopeless when it comes to the inner workings of computers. I just know what I use, and would have bought a new one ages ago if I was at all confident that I could transfer my old data onto a new PC.

Gadget - that page doesn't look like mine - it has more 'columns'. I have no 'last used' column or anything other the name, which is often unrecognisable.

I can see I'm showing my ignrance and maybe I should just hold my hands up and dip out gracefully before you all start sending me   :o :o :o :o :o signs.

Thanks for the help - I shall try and delete a few cookies at a time, except there's just been a loud clap of thunder so I may have to switch off and go and comfort the cat!! perhaps these might be more relevant?   ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I think it's because mine is 66.0.3 (up to date on Win 10), Jill.

I never had Vista.

I'll see if I can see what my old Win 7 has but think it's fairly up to date.

Back shortly on a Win 7 machine!

Back on Win7. It's the same version as my Win 10, so can't help - sorry  :-\

Here's a profound thought, after reading Jillruss's signature.  We must all be related, as we are all descendants of that fine old soldier, Major Brickwalls.

I'm so glad you asked this question, I had also noticed lots of posts saying remove Ancestry cookies, I didn't have a problem with Ancestry but I was wanted to see how to remove cookies from just one website as I hadn't known this was possible but couldn't work out how to do it.

I've now found it on FireFox, took me ages to figure out where Tools was, turned out I didn't have that menu bar turned on, but does anyone know how to do it in Edge?

I've not used Edge but this link might be of use for a whole range of browsers:

Add - not sure if it shows how to clear individual cookies though  :-\
