Anyone come across this problem before?

Can find death of Alexander Mitchell on Irish Genealogy platform

But cannot find the same death on the GRONI website when searching death index?

Yes I have come across that before. My guess is that it’s incorrectly indexed on the GRONI site eg Witchell, or Matchell instead of Mitchell. If you email GRONI with the details you have found, they can do a manual search of the original records to locate it. (And if it’s incorrectly indexed they’ll normally correct that).

Same problem with a great grandparent, have grave deeds and details but nothing on groni. It was suggested to apply for an actual certificate with the info I have and see if they can find the details.

Just out of interest has anyone been able to access Groni search, It will let me search WW2 records but not births marriages and deaths, have tried on another laptop and my mobile, it lets me enter the names then when I hit search it goes to a grey screen and does nothing else.

I think there's a fault. I have had similar problems for the past 48 hours. Presumably they are working on it, as it will be costing them money.
