The recognised part is ‘To Miss Bennett,4th Nov. a souvenir from the’.... with the unrecognised as attached.

I'd go with 'Maw'. Maybe 'Maw' was a name for 'Ma' - the head of some sort of house for 'girls'?

Must be a very big label.

Have made it smaller so maybe more legible!

It seems the word Maw is a Scottish term for mother/mom according to this website (I've never heard of it before)
