Crest on old plate
« on: Tuesday 07 May 19 15:40 BST (UK) »
This crest appears on a silver card plate I inherited from my grandfather. It isn't either of the crests of my maternal or paternal grandparents and the silver marks suggest it was assayed in London in 1810.
Any clues whose crest it might be. It's definitely not a family or marital crest.
Many thanks for your help

Hi,

It looks a bit like this lion, which according to Fairbairn's is linked to several different names ... not very helpful I'm afraid but you might recoginse something there?
