William McNaught Bisset
« on: Monday 20 May 19 17:11 BST (UK) »
Well I am here again this time with William McNaught Bisset born 31.07.1881.  Now I have found him on census up until 1901 when he was living with his mother Helen Inglis Bisset and he was recorded as 19 and an apprentice stone mason.  His mother died in 1904 and then I can't find him again.  His sister Agnes Jane McNaught Bisset went to live in Bury Lancashire but can't find him at all.  From what the family tell me he married and had a son also named William.  Can you help I feel cheeky asking after you helped me solve his grandfather William but I am really stuck.  Eileen  ??? ???

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

It's always useful to include a link to any previous thread so that anyone who didn't follow it can easily look it up and see what it says. Otherwise you get people duplicating what has already been done.

Although you have said that the previous thread is closed, there is nothing to prevent people still replying to it. In which case you will be notified. You could always put a link there to this thread so that people can easily find the continuation of information on the same family.

Well spotted, loobylooayr - this is indeed him.   He married Jemima Neilson Williamson 29/7/1910 The Manse, Sidegate, Haddington (parents, father blank, mother Helen Bisset (deceased).

They did indeed have a son - William John Bisset born 7/2/1915 (birth Mar.1915 Pontypridd) - by 1939 they are living in Yeovil, Somerset where they remained.

Son married 1941 and had 2 sons - one born June.qtr.1943, the other Mar.qtr.1946.

From marriage of their son surname becomes Bissett.
