Elizabeth Ann maguire
« on: Wednesday 22 May 19 11:17 BST (UK) »
According to census born 1883 fleetwood, on burial record names parents as Joseph and harriet, but gives them her married name, fairhurst, which assuming error. She is in Ince when married in 1905. Anyone come across her? Can't find her on Lancashire online records. Family originally from Derry I believe.

Thanks, had got that off online Lancashire parish records, just trying to get picture of life pre marriage, grooms father down for both, want to clarify her parentage. Census said 1883, nearest is birth under fylde in 1882. Assume her parents were Irish migrants.

The grooms father is down for both on lancsopc - clearly an error as Suz has viewed the image.  I have reported the error to lancsopc.

What information does the 1911 census give

so you had entered the marriage year as 1905 instead of 1904??

what do you mean "grooms father down for both"?

on marriage entry Thomas Fairhurst's father was John Fairhurst occ Collier and Elizabeth Ann's father was John or Thos Maguire occupation Blacksmith (not Collier)

witness James Maguire - possibly this is him in 1901
14 Baron ? Terrace Ince
John Maguire Head M 45 occ BLACKSMITH's striker Ireland
Ann wife 40 Ireland
Isabella daughter 18 Fleetwood
JAMES MAGUIRE son 16 lab in Coal Mune below ground Fleetwood
John son 13 Horwich
Josepine daughter 11 Horwich
Clara daughter 8 Wigan
Peter H son 6 Ince
Diane daughter 4 Hindley
Laura daughter 2
Joseph P son 3 Ince

the other witness is (I think) Catherine Bate who married hercules Donaldson in 1900 (1901 they are boarders with the Bate family in Ince)

wonder if james is related (or even a brother) to Elizabeth Ann???

On Ancestry 1881 the family is transcribed as MAGINRE living in Newton. Elizabeth Ann is listed as ANN.

EDIT: I mean the 1891 census. Sorry!
