Aerated water and lemonade factory in Cupar
« on: Tuesday 28 May 19 11:40 BST (UK) »
Hello

I wonder if anyone is aware of, or has any information on an aerated water manufacturer and/or lemonade factory that was in Cupar. My ggg grandfather also had factories in Dundee, which I managed to locate and, also in Forfar. It may have been called Nicolls but not 100% certain. I am not sure when he bought the factory but he sold it in 1880. Thanks for any assistance.....

Fife Herald April 19, 1866

J. W. Grieg
Lemonade and Soda Water Manufacturer
Cupar - Fife

Begs to intimate that he has sold ...etc... to the Cupar Aerated Water Company

.... same premises in Lady Wynd

Added.   photograph of Lady Wynd here. Not obvious where the factory would be https://tour-scotland-photographs.blogspot.com/2015/03/old-photograph-lady-wynd-cupar-fife.html

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
