Hi,
Robert Bamford and Sarah Long are my 4x great grandparents who lived in Hull in the 1800s.
He was a hairdresser and a mace bearer.
Please can I ask if this family are related to you?

Lesley

No, I'm the historian of the Charterhouse, and this cropped up in my research into a resident, John Jackson.  This is the blog post I wrote on the story: https://thehullcharterhouse.blogspot.com/2019/06/a-tale-of-radical-politics-versus.html
I hope it's useful.
