Semple
« on: Friday 14 June 19 13:58 BST (UK) »
I am looking for info on a Thomas Semple who was UK born as far as I know. His daughter Jane Semple was born in South Australia in 1843. I can't uncover any travel or passenger info for Thomas or indeed who his wife was.

Any help appreciated

So that looks like the correct family group so they did indeed arrive from the UK so Jane wasn't born in Autralia

From the Biographical Index of South Australians 1836-1885  A good resource compiled in 1986 however I always attempt to validate the information.  There are errors and omissions.  It would appear the family were Irish.

I have just looked at trove.nla for Thomas Semple in South Australia and they have several articles on his insolvency hearing in July 1886.
