Rosie

I have found a medal record for a George McCulloch, (spelt McCullock), ref number    WO 372/12/204939
He was a private in the South Lancashire Regiment, regiment number 3389.

How can I find out more information on this to see if it could my Grandad.

Wow Rosie, again thank you so much

I had a feeling this was him.

Do you have (or are you able to direct me to) any documentation to back all this up?

Hi Rosie

Thank you so much for that.  I had already assumed that this was my grandad, but had nothing concrete to back it up.  The document you sent stating that  F Lawson was the beneficiary confirmed categorically that this was my grandad.

I need to get in touch with the National Archives to see if I can get his Army records to see if they have more information.

I am now going to look for his brother David McCulloch 16/06/1873 as I think he may also have been killed ion the war along with George and James McCulloch(his Brothers).

Again any help you could give would be appreciated.

Regards
Jayne
