Hi all

You have been such great help on finding out about my Great Uncles, I wonder if you could do your magic on my Great Grandmother?

Her names was Agnes C McCulloch (nee Chalmers), she was born on 19 May 1843 in Barony, Glasgow, Scotland.

The last sighting I have of her was is on the 1881 census where she lived at
4 North Elliott Street
South Leith Midlothian
with her husband Thomas McCulloch and their 7 children

The next time I find Thomas McCulloch was in 1887 to 1893 where he was living at
22 Sydenham Place,
Bradford,
The 1891 census shows was with another wife called Anna (born in Wales)

So I guess Agnes must have died between 1881 and 1891. The only Agnes McCulloch I can find as being deceased was in Gateshead Newcastle in 1885!!!

I do have a copy of this death certificate and most of the information does tally i.e. wife of a salesman Thomas McCulloch.

There was an inquest held 9/3/1885
Does anyone know where I can find out more information to see if this is my Great Grandmother as it is strange the death was in Newcastle when she lived in Scotland and then we find her husband in Bradford!!!

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction

There is no record of a death on Scotland People for your grandmother Agnes McCulloch other name Chalmers ...So the death you have Agnes Chambers McCulloch 1885 Gateshead I would say would be yours ..The family obviously would have moved there between 1881-1885

How quick are you Rosie,

Would I be able to access the Will for Thomas McCulloch anywhere?

I am going to follow up Agnes and see if I can find out who lived at 4 Half Moon Lane, Gateshead, Co Durham in March 1885 as that is where the death certificate says this Agnes died.

Thanks Again for your help
