Justin McDonnell ww1 soldier
« on: Wednesday 19 June 19 20:57 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with the Canadian records to tie up a loose end please.
the Justin McDonnell I am researching was a twin of Julia, born 18-4-1878 in Knockanmon , Cork Ireland. He is believed to have enlisted in the RN  in 1892 and served until 1906.

Is this the same Justin who enlisted in Canada, and sadly died in active service France in 1916.

For background information his father Jeremiah was a shoemaker in the Cork area, and had married Mary McCarthy in 1872 In Dunmanway nr Cork.

In his military file under next of kin...it lists his brother Timothy, but also says to notify sister Mrs Julia Darcy of 9 1/2 Arthur St., Windsor, Ontario.
