Elizabeth Susan Lawrence, Crowan

Hi,
I am looking for Elizabeth Susan Lawrence b1856 bap 8/03/57 in Crowan.
Her mother was Mary Ann Lawrence ,no father named in baptism .
Elizabeth married Alfred John Horn in Helston in 1878 and moved to Plymouth. I have all further information until her death in 1895.
I cannot find her aged 5 on the 1861 or at 15 on the 1871. Any help with those would be great.
Also, she names a Henry Lawrence on her marriage as her father, but mother was the only name on the baptism. Any ideas on that would also be great. She may have just plucked out a name for propriety,but who knows.
I do not know anything about the mother Mary Ann Lawrence, but she may be the daughter of Joseph and Loveday Lawrence, but no real proof.,just best fit at present.

Did you check freebmd for a marriage for Mary Ann between 1856-1861?  There is one in March qtr 1861 plus one in 1859.  The 1859 has 3 christian names so may not be correct.  Have you already ruled them out

Yes, I have investigated possible marriages ,but so far have drawn a blank. I am trying to find this info for a cousin, she has tried too without success.

the 1861 marriage at the Penzance  register office was to Richard Trembath, both of Newtown, Ludgvan. 1861 census in Ludgvan RG9/1587 folio 90 pg 4.

The one in 1859 was to George Callenso Williams in Mylor, her father John, a mariner. 1861 census in Mylor RG9/1564 folio 59 pg 6.

Both on opc database.

No Elizabeth Susan with either couple.

Does she use both names - Elizabeth Susan - when she marries and where was her residence at the time?

Occupation for the father she named was?  Witness names in case they are a link to her?

Just for info the marriage record and birth of first child give the spelling as Lawrance.

Elizabeth Susan’s marriage certificate states her father was Henry Lawrence deceased. She married in Helston 1878. I wish she was on the 1861 and 71 census, so frustrating.Witnesses John Evans and John Charles Harris.
