Lookup Please - BOLGER, Michael & Honor

I am looking for information regarding my husband's anscestor Michael Bolger, b between 1793-1797 d. Nov 4, 1842 Rathgeran, County Carlow, Leinstein, married to Honor (unknown maiden name) who was born in 1792 and died May 7, 1852 Rathgeran, Ballymurphy Cemetery, no. 206, Ballymurphy, County Carlow, Leinster, Ireland.  They were married in about 1810 in Carlow.  Children include:  Patrick b. 1831 d. Apr 1, 1886 and James b. 1827, d. Sept 4, 1851.

This line of Bolger's ended up in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

Any information that anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Simon had a son named James Bolger who married Johanna Delaney in Liverpool, Lancashire, 1907

I have just started researching the Bolger's from Ireland and some help would be greatly appreciated.
How to search etc. Is there any sites that can give me census dates, Burials, etc.

Hi Kristina,

I have not had much luck in searching records on any Irish websites.  I usually use Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, Free BMD or Free CEN and the Church of Latter Day Saints - Family Search.  I did a quick search for your family on all of these sites, with not much luck. 

I could not find any Simon Bolgers at all - which I found strange.  I found some possible birth information for Joanna Delaney on Free BMD.  Dec 1861 Vol 8b, page 149.  I have ordered birth and marriage certificates in the past with much luck.  It show's the person's parents and where they were from, etc. 

Sorry I can't be of much help, but if you have any other names or information that I can check for you, please let me know.

Hi- this site seems to be a good one for Carlow and there is a Griffiths Valuation reference to a Simon Bolger, Ballymurphy.

It also gives the references for microfilms for parish records which you would be able to order through LDS libraries in addition to 1901 census details.
