John O'Connor - Kildysart
« on: Thursday 11 July 19 13:13 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone. I figured this would be a needle in a haystack, but figured I'd at least ask anyways. I recently came into contact with a very distant relative via my mother's side who was kind enough to provide me some information on her family's side who lives in Australia. She did mention that she couldn't find anything on her grandfather's brother a John O'Connor but she did provide me some information in terms of family and that they lived in Clare. I was hoping to return the favor and see if there was anyway I could provide her some insight, despite how small. I tried digging on my end on the national Irish archives and irishgenealogy.ie with little to no success. Any assistance or feedback is appreciated as always. Thank you.

This search on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

will find any BDM Registration for them (1864+) . Tick Births or whatever and year ranges as needed

Thank you for that, I wasn't aware that the town could be placed there, thought it was if you knew the local parish name.

That would be the Registration DISTRICT for that area.

Having the names of children on Census you can look for them Marrying around age of 20/25 by adapting that Search, ticking marriages and year ranges

or check any Deaths from dates on g/stones, etc.

Quite easy to use!
