Looking For Florence Emma Clarke (born 23rd September 1884)

First post, so please all be gentle 

Hoping that someone might be able to help fill some gaps for a Florence Emma Clarke (born 1884). So far I have;

Born Stradbroke 1884 (Father: Edgar Clarke, Mother Caroline Elsey)
1891 Census - living in Stradbroke
1901 Census - Living in Stradbroke
1906 - Married Charles Robert Durrant in Hoxne
1906 - Birth of Daughter Emma Florence Elsey Durrant
1914 - Birth of Irene Ivy May Durrant
1919 - Birth of Louisa Florence Ada Durrant
September 1919 - Granted a divorce from Charles and custody of Irene and Louisa

I'm really hoping to find her on 1911 census and / or 1939 register if still alive.

Her daughter Emma and (ex)husband Charles emigrated to Canada in 1920 (returning in 1924). But this one has really stumped me.

Hi Keyboard86,

Yes that's correct, they had four children together. She then later married Stanley Bayliss in 1963.

Do you know Florence's exact birth date?

There is a marriage

Florence E Durrant/Arthur W Miles Dec 1929 Bosmere 4a 2475

This couple appear together in 1939 and the birth date given for Florence fits with the quarter given for her birth. If you have her exact date of birth then I can confirm or deny that this is your Florence.

That marriage also gives another surname Clarke.

Wow, that's blown me away. I've been searching for months for a discover like that.... clearly I'm using the wrong resources.

Can I ask how you came across that information? Are you using FindMyPast or Ancestry? Is there a particular search term you looked for?

I feel daft that I have not been able to find this myself.... but pleased I posted

I used www.freebmd.org.uk for the marriage, 1919- 1939.

EDIT Florence E Miles looks to have died Dec qtr 1956 Hartismere aged 72
