 Hi there
Just seen ur post,  now l can tell u the gipsy/traveller people are so secretive. My mother died never having a birth certificate. How can anyone do research when the paper trail doesn't exist. All these fanciful comments of electoral list showing em living in a tent/field doesn't always come to light. Most of my research has come from the kindness of helpful folk. Yes there are records of marriage and births but then it's where to go from there.
Anyway that's my negative slant on a search that has taken 25yrs. But hay hoe onwards & upwards its still gr8 to search. Good Luck with yours
