Identifying the right WILLIAM THURSTON
« on: Friday 26 July 19 12:11 BST (UK) »
I bought the birth certificate of Francis. It confirms William THURSTON born ~1829 -1831 in Essex (great Baddow?) and Francis Eliza FROGLEY (1834-1915, born London) had a son Francis Arba (born 1873, Lambeth, the last child). Census records indicate they were living together as a family in Lambeth.

I am stuck on identifying William so I can buy his birth certificate and identify his parents to take my search further. His date of birth is earlier than GRO records and various records indicate different birth places in Essex .... so I am stuck. To add to my confusion there appear to be two William Thompson Thurston's born in 1826 and 1828 and other siblings born in Heigham and Hardingham in Norfolk

Many thanks for your kind suggestions

Hi
Yes it would be helpful if there was one,so much easier but sometimes they just don't think about future generation!

If it is the right couple
James Thurston married Pheobe King 24.4.1809 at Little Brickhill Bucks
James is buried 2 Nov 1847  Sible Hedlingham  age 65 and Pheobe is a servant born 1787 widow on the 1851 census Castle Hedlingham

Still can't see William 1851/1861.

ps eldest son for William and Frances looks like James born 1852 at Clacton Essex.

I agree James the eldest and Francis the youngest - spanning 21 years - can you see others and where should I be looking please?
