Not sure where you got the Norfolk connection from but;
Daniel may have married at least twice;
14 Sep 1819 Norwich to Maria FISHER, Bachelor/Spinster
3 Oct 1833 Heigham to Mary DOPLIN, both Widowed
(FreeREG)
+ 1842 to Louisa COWELL FreeBMD

Baptisms to Daniel/Maria are on FreeREG also;
James Fisher 1820
Daniel 1824
William Thompson 1826
William Thompson 1828
Maria Ruth 1830

 ??? ???

It sure looks like they were going under WILLIAMS for a while. On the 1881 son Alfred is listed as born in "Chester".

This birth looks possible:

WILLIAMS, ALFRED      mmn   FROGLEY
: 1863  M Quarter in STOCKPORT  Volume 08A  Page 20

I was following the same 1861 census going from info on 1881 census. Walter (Thurston) Williams was born june q 1859 Ashton under Lyne, mmn YATES??, and Emily (Sarah) Williams born dec q 1860 Chaple le Frith mmn Harvey?? The fact that the 1881 and 1861 census give father William's pob as Gt BADDOW, Essex for me is a positive plus ages all add up

trish1120 - I think the Norfolk connection is just a confusion of William Thompson Thurston's - good to know the detail but probably wrong connection

MaureeninNY - johnhood - ciderdrinker - looks like I have to consider seriously Maureen and John's findings, Great Baddow has been mentioned, but the 1891 census says Dudlow or similar - see picture - Francis Arba is my ancestor - if he is aged 62 in the census then William is born 1829 - Thank you for this incredible effort - I am struggling how pin down William's birth details and his parents

I can't help with much else but did want to comment on the middle name "ARBA".

I think a half-sister (different mothers) of Fanny's married an Arba HAGGER:
........
Elizabeth Mary Ann Frogley
Marriage Date:
13 Sep 1870

Marriage Place:
Buckland, St Mary, Surrey, England

Father:
 George Frogley

Spouse:
 Arba Hagger
