The above apparently married Jack Judges and had 1 child but I'd like to know when Lily married Jack and who, when and where the child was born, and whether the child married and had children?

There is no way to know for sure if the following is your Jack and Lily Winifred but have found this couple on a number of voters lists. One has Jack, the rest John. All are for the same address. There is a 3rd party with them on the 1968 list who is a student. Probably still living so I will PM the details. The party would have had to be 21 to vote which suggests a mid to lateish 1940's birth, which in turn suggests a rather later in life marriage if this is your couple. Marriages and births in this time frame would be protected by privacy legislation. You would need to find other ways to learn more, such as newspaper birth and marriage announcements or obits, or perhaps social media or the telephone directory.

Living at 14 Barker Ave in York East for all.....

There is also another John/Jack Judges in the voters lists who also happens to be a photographer. He is listed at various addresses in the some of the same years posted above but in the same household is a Mrs Gwen. He is John R in one record.

Added....do you have the Rosser family in the 1921 census? They are apparently living in Ontario at this point.

I found an obit for a John (Jack) Ross Judges...could be one of these Johns.  Unfortunately, there is no mention of his age, or of his wife :'(

He died at the Centenary Health Centre on Aug 25 1993.  Father of G, A and C.  Grandfather of B, J and J.  Uncle of R Bechard.  Interment Erskine Cemetery, Pickering.

Hi RK

Great find for Lily!

Knew you'd very likely find an obit or 2  :). I think the John Ross one is probably the other John/Jack?

Thanks PB :).   It really helped that you found the family in the Toronto area :)

The Jack with the middle initial O that you found is definitely the right one.

Obit for John (Jack) Octavius Judges in the Toronto Star 21 Dec 2002 page B6.  He died at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on 19 Dec 2002.  He was in his 91st year.  Predeceased by wife Winnifred Lillian Judges (nee Rosser) on Feb 5 1996.  Father to W Judges (wife L) of Bracebridge.  Mother in law of S Judges of Walker's Point.  Predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters.  Grandfather of L Judges (J Murphy), S (D) Bennett, and J Judges.  Great grandmother to 2 named boys.
