Just checking that the baptisms you are quoting actually state West Dean by Seaford because East Dean is closer to Seaford than West Dean.

Just checked this on the Sussex Family History Group members date and this baptism is recorded on there as being at All Saints, West Dean, Lewes, Sussex.

I will check there for any Unstead marriages.

FamilySearch has a baptism in Seaford for Elizabeth, daughter of John and Ann UNSTED on 19 Jun 1720 (same register page as William bapt 1722)
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6967-GW4?i=321&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AKFGQ-H6P

Further on is John, son of John and Ann UNSTEAD bapt 1724 (no visible date)
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6967-R8J?i=322&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AKFGQ-H6P

The register entry for Edward (28 Sep 1729) reads: "son of John Unstead & Anna his wife.  ???

There is a burial of John UNSTEAD in Seaford 3 Sep 1729 who may be related (father perhaps?) to your John.

I scrolled back from 1732 to 1650 but found no other UNSTEAD register entries except the ones you listed.  So it seems reasonable to state that John UNSTEAD was not baptised in Seaford, that there was no evidence of an UNSTEAD family in Seaford before he arrived, and that neither of his marriages took place in Seaford.

(As a sidenote - the Seaford indexing on FamilySearch is almost useless - the only way is to find an entry then open the image and flick through the pages - and there appears to be more than one set of registers which are not exact duplicates, though many entries appear in both!)
