You need to check out "Hattie Family Memoirs", pages 251-256. It has tons of info on John Dewar  (born  in Perthshire), who arrived in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1803. It also mentions his children and their children. I got the book at my local library (they had to bring it in from another library branch).
His wife Rebecca had a sister  who married my relative Gregor McGregor. There are several families (McGregors, Hatties/McHatties and Dewars) that are linked through marriages as many of them came from the same area in Scotland, and several of the men served in the British military and were awarded land grants close to each other. Hopefully this will help in your research.
Happy Researching!!

The Duncan Dewar and Margaret McGregor that Throth pointed out are from Duallin, near Lawers.

Their son Alexander was born in Blair but resided in Killin.  Alexander's son Duncan married twice and moved to Stromilchan, Glenorchy.  I have not fleshed out the family in entirety yet.
