Charles John Curtis was the brother of a husband of one of my Clewes ladies. I can't find info on his brother, Thomas A. Curtis so I am hoping he may be mentioned in his brother's obituary.

Charles John Curtis was a retired minister who was born 1850 and died in Leeds County on Feb 14 1937. On the death cert. it says he died in the Brockville General hospital and his home was in Athens, ON.

Any help is appreciated!

Looks like there are obits for Charles in the Ottawa papers (under C J Curtis) and in the Montreal Gazette (under Charles J Curtis).  They are available on newspapers.com.  I don't have a subscription - so I can't tell if these obits are identical to the one in the Globe.

Did Thomas Curtis end up in Canada as well?

Yes...

Obituary for Thomas Alfred Curtis in the Toronto Star 22 Nov 1952, page 35.

Thomas Alfred Curtis died Nov 20 1952 at his home 320 Roncesvalles.  Husband of Susan Webb (former proprietor of Curtis press).  Brother of the late William Curtis of Boston MA and the late Charles J Curtis of Kingston, Ont.  Also predeceased by 3 sisters in England.  Interment Park Lawn cemetery.

Hmm...Kingston is about an hour 85-90 kms from Brockville and about an 65 kms from Athens.   Still - it is in the general area :) :)
