Who was Frank Skidmore
« on: Friday 09 August 19 18:01 BST (UK) »
I have a relation

Maud Mary Mansell born 22/9/1899 Whateley, Tamworth.

Her baptism says abode Slately ?

She a spinster of Middleton married a Frank Skidmore of the South Staffordshire Regiment on 23/11/1918 at Tamworth by licence according to the Tamworth Herald on 30/11/1918.(I was given that information by someone a few years ago, I do not have the newspaper cutting).

By 1939 Maud was a widow living in Sutton Coldfield. She died in 1984 in Ward End, Birmingham.

Now who was Frank Skidmore where was he born and when did he die.

I may have to get the Marriage certificate yet.

Yes I have that in my notes as well. I was thinking maybe it might be him and he was a soldier still and died in that area because I think there was an hospital there where the army injured were treated.

That's a good find  :) Now I can see why there were no children born to a Skidmore/Mansell marriage.
