Valuation Office - Cancelled Land Books

I would be grateful to know if anyone is visting the Valuation Office in Dublin in the near future.

I live in Italy and so I'm at a disadvantage regards personally visiting places to continue my research.

I would like to get the details on a few plots in South Tipperary. I know that Tipperary records have been put on a computer.

I can send you a PM with details if you think you will have some spare time during your visit.

No they are the field and house books for the preparation of Griffiths Valuation.
The Cancelled Land Books in the Valuation Office are a continuation of Griffiths and they are not online.

These are on FamilySearch too but only in monochrome and from a Family History Center. Are there any FHC in Italy?

No they are not on familysearch. But I would love to be proven otherwise.

Valuation Revision books up to 1900 can also be studied on microfilm via LDS Family History Centers. Unfortunately, they are available only in black and white, which can make some pages very difficult to work through

Yes they are microfilm only eg General Valuation revision lists, Borrisokane Union and Parsonstown Union (Tipperary), 1857-1941

Someone can correct me if I am wrong. but I believe LDS FHCs no longer have an ability to order microfilm copies from Salt Lake - that facility was ended a few years ago. So unless an FHC in Italy already has a set - which is very highly unlikely - I don't think you will be able to order them. So, the question becomes, can you view them online at an FHC? You need to check the catalog (online) carefully.
