RE:  James McAuley, b. abt. 1896.

I did this search on  the Irish Government BDM website

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

which has 3 stages to it as per attachment

those with Returns Page No  don't have Images yet but one can check back every now and then to see if any have been updated even once every 6 months!

If one knows the names from a Marriage e.g.  "about 1870"  just put Name in, Tick Marriage box and use Year Range 1868 to 1872  leaving District  blank if unknown!

The Captcha and Sign in page are all part of process the Irish Government BDM website and do not take anyone to any other website!

This gets one all Birth Registrations for McAuley 1890 to 1899

Link to them = http://www.rootschat.com/links/01o9i/

One has the 3 stages to complete.......

adjust as needed for Marriages, other Surnames etc

See  https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/civil-records/help/what-civil-records-are-on-line

One gets, for example,   Birth Reg for James!

for N Ireland this site only goes to 1922

Thanks, Hallmark.  Actually, I use that website, but only for families that are important to my research.  I have to be selective as far as time is concerned because I do not have my own computer.  As such, I operate on borrowed time so to speak.  Due to this, I leave it up to those who are descended from this family to delve into their past more carefully than what I have done.
