Which Anne married David Ambrose in Llandeilo fawr in Q1/1847?
« on: Tuesday 27 August 19 16:23 BST (UK) »
David is a carpenter and he and Anne raised their family in Llangethen. There two Annes registered at the same time:

Anne Davies
Anne Thomas

My maternal grandfather was a Thomas. My maternal grandmother was a Davies.

Why should it be easy ::)
Thomas, Davies, Jones, Walters, Daniel in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. That should narrow it down a bit!
Vincent: Fressingfield, Suffolk, Stockton & Sunderland.
Murtha/Murtaugh: Dundalk & Sunderland
Ingram: Cairnie by Huntly, Scotland then Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
Bardouleau: London - in memory of my stepmother Annie Rose née Bardouleau who put up with a lot from me.

It was Anne Thomas who married David Ambrose. She was born about 1827 in Llanegwad, they married on the 22nd January 1847 and Anne died 13th January 1906 in "Red Cottage" Llandyfeisant.

Do you want to know anything about Hetty? She was my Great Great Grandmother.

Grindley; Llandilofawr, Ohio, Louisiana, Washington DC.
Rees(e); Pennsylvania.
Lewis, Llandilofawr.

Well Bevbee, we are cousins! The connection is through you Anne Ambrose nee Thomas. I suspect that she is the sister of David Thomas who is my 2xgreat-grandfather David Thomas (1836-1920). So Thomas Thomas (1809-1877) is our most recent common ancestor.

I found the connection through Ancestry DNA. There are a few shared matches back to the Rees/Reese line but one of them is the mother of a cousin still living in Carmarthenshire.

I will send you my email address via a PM.

CHeers!
