1911 free index has her living in Bristol with mother Louisa.
One of the boarders with them is an Arthur Edward Smith.

If we then look for a Mary Smith born 27.10.1881 in the free index to the 1939 Register we get just one result.
Mary J Smith living in Bristol with Arthur E Smith born 1875 + 2 others (+ 1 closed!)

Hi Jon - Yes, many thanks, I've seen these.  A possible cousin and I have been trying to work out if the Arthur E. Smith born in Shurdington is the same as the one born at roughly the same time in Bristol.  His parents from the marriage register would settle the issue.
