Royal Warwickshire Regiment - help to find record of service
« on: Tuesday 03 September 19 00:20 BST (UK) »
Hello. I wonder firstly if I have the correct board to be posting on and secondly if someone could assist? My Great Grandfather married my Great Grandmother in India around 1920 - My Gt.Grandmother was born in Bengal in 1899 (her father was a driver on the East Indian Railway). I can find information on my Great Grandfather from birth 1898 Swerford - up to 1911 but can find no details other than his marriage to my Great Grandmother in India and then a birth record for my Great Aunt in Bombay in 1924. He is detailed on the birth certificate as Sergeant 2/B Royal Warwickshire Reg - Harry Gulliver. I'd really like to know more about his army record and his journey from the UK to meeting my Great Grandmother. Could someone assist please?
