Hi Wilma,

William CHILD, age 60, Bee hive maker was buried 10 March 1883 in Unconsecrated ground at Bridgnorth Municipal Cemetery. Grave No.564.

His Housekeeper Sarah SALMON, the probable mother of his earlier children, was buried age 46, Spinster on 29 Jan 1875 in Unconsecrated ground. Grave No.1052.

There are no visible signs of any headstones.

I assume you have Sarah's children including ;
William, Selina, Sarah Jane, John Childs (bap. 31 July 1867) Joseph Henry (bap. 31 July 1867, bur 12 April 1868)

Hope it helps,
Gwynne.

You are a star - thank you very much.

Selina married as Selina Childs so it took a while to sort out who she was.   On census the surname changed through various spellings.   Joseph Henry was registered at birth as Henry Child Salmonds and I guessed he had died as he didn't appear on 1871 census!

After Sarah died William turned up on 1881 census with Esther, John Childs and then 2 more sons Arthur & Thomas born c.1875 & 1876.   Haven't found a marriage of William & Esther.

Again many thanks

Wilma
