Caversham Cemetery
« on: Saturday 21 September 19 07:49 BST (UK) »
I am planning a trip  to the Hemdean Road cemetery to find a certain grave which I believe is highly likely to be marked by a stone. I also have a plan showing the split of the cemetery into a dozen sectors.
I am wondering if anyone, who knows that cemetery, can tell me if graves were dug at random or whether one sector was used until completely full and then a new sector started. The first burial of interest to me was in 1918 and the second, highly probably in the same grave, was in 1961.
Many thanks for any help in narrowing the search. Toby.

Contact Reading Council's cemetery people - they should be able to give you the plot number.

Great news!  BUT can you amend the e-mail address in your last post to avoid spamming - substitute @ with "space at space"

Otherwise a Moderator will remove it.  ;)

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
