Margaret Davies Abergele 1885
« on: Wednesday 25 September 19 18:00 BST (UK) »
Ok here goes don’t turn off everyone I know Iv been here a 1000 times and had so
Much help but I’m back with a dilemma
There is a Margaret Davies marrying a William Robert Owen in 1915 colwyn bay the fathers name is correct Daniel Davies says his occupation was a market Gardner ( when Margaret’s sister got married she said he was a plumber ) he was a agricultural labourer in truth. Here’s the But says the father is   Deceased  But my Margaret’s father wasn’t ( he wasn’t very nice so I hoping she might have made it up lol
The  reason I am very much attracted to this marriage is that  William Robert Owen was a minister of the church and my Margaret went to Patagonia so I’m thinking it could be sign lol
What does everyone think I’m I clutching at straws  I'm
Not worrying about the cost of the certificate
Just should I do some more work lol

I think Iv found him in 1911 census as single and a Methodist mister which would tie-in with Margaret’s beliefs but then she would be telling a lie re her father which does not tie in

I don’t think so lol
This gentleman born  anglesey
He was born 1885 Iv found him in 1911 census and  found him in the army although I was only in the army for one or two months I can’t decipher why he was discharged
If he married (my Margaret Davies) she s my brick wall she was born 1885 / 86  they certainly were a fire and brimstone family  I’m trying not to get to excited I’m now trying to do
Homework on him and I’m looking at shipping lists for them both

Apparently discharged as it was clear he would not become an efficient soldier

:) Did you not say that a John Davies of Peel Street was also located in Patagonia on your other thread?
What was his occupation?
