Bigamous marriages
« on: Wednesday 02 October 19 15:53 BST (UK) »
I have a possible bigamous marriage resulting in a child in the Norfolk area about 100 years ago. Would there be any record of this marriage if it took place, and where would I be able to find any details of it please. Have not come across this before!
Regards.

If the marriage ceremony took place, it will be registered in the usual way. Presumably the person officiating didn't know it was rendered unlawful by bigamy, otherwise it wouldn't have gone ahead!
