Hi
I can tell you that Nottingham Workshouse records are available at Nottinghamshire Archives. My Great Grandmother was in there with her children. She died there. The records show when they were admitted and why and when they are discharged and where to as far as i can remember. Some of the records may show a reputed father if a child is born in the workhouse. Sadly my husband's great grandfather was born in a different workhouse but the records for that one do not exist and we would have loved to have known who his reputed father was. None recorded on certificate and husband had been dead a quite a while.
Good luck

Sheila

Can find her until 1911 census when she may have been in  Croydon as a servant with Rotter family. after that she was in Southwell house giving birth in 1913 to Dorothy Lilian Carroll.

Unfortunately Sheila I don’t live near Nottingham to visit the archives, is there any data available online

Birth certificates do not generally give an address for someones employment.  It should show the place where the child was born and the address that the mother /informant was living.  Where on the form is that address given
