The list of children I posted are all on scotlandspeople.gov.uk apart from the 2 with 'c' dates who I found on the 1841/51 census'.

Often there's lots of info. on OPRs & other times not.

If Andrew was the son of William and Janet then he would have been 25 on his marriage and the only other marriage of an Andrew Gillespie was 1812 then I would think this was his only marriage

I realise this post has been sometime ago but I recently did some research on the name Gillespie for a friend, they finished up in Ayrshire but I traced the line back to a couple of areas one of which was Stirlingshire, so I may have some earlier information. I have posted what I found mainly to consolidate the information already posted.

GILLESPIE   ANDREW   MARY SMITH   23/01/1818   Denny

Children born/baptised Denny

WILLIAM 1819, JAMES 1820, JANET 1828, JAMES 1830, MARY 1832, ELIZABETH 1834, GEORGE 1840, JANE 1842

Possible record for Andrew but there are others.

ANDREW GILESPIE   Parents WILLIAM GILESPIE/JANET WILSON    21/09/1793   Denny

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.
