Emma Louisa Watts (b.1836?)
« on: Wednesday 04 August 04 12:22 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to trace the family of Emma Louisa Watts.  Census and marriage certificate information gives various years for her birth - 1836, 1837, 1839 or 1841.  Her marriage certificate gives her father's name as James Watts.  He was a gardener.  Her birthplace is given as Brighton, Sussex on the 1871, 1881 and 1901 censuses.

I checked 1837online for births in Brighton 1837-1841, but couldn't find her.  I assume, therefore, that she was born before 1837 or very close to that year.

Any help gratefully appreciated.  Thanks!
Cornwall - Cook, Cowl(e), La(u)nce, Arthur, Honey, Stephens, Welch, Handcock, Holland.  Devon - Frost, Spray, Kellaway, Hamley.  Wales (Carmarthenshire) - Evans. Hertfordshire/Essex - Cakebread. Surrey/Sheffield - Grayson.

Hi there kiya

Sorry for the delay in answering your query - been away camping for 3 weeks in South Wales and Bath, Somerset.

I have very little information on Brighton, and the little that I do have does not include any of your Watts ancestors.

As a matter of interest, where were they in 1871, 81 and 1901 census
