Burial of Ann REID nee GIBSON
« on: Thursday 17 October 19 03:16 BST (UK) »
Ann REID nee GIBSON's death was registered at Leicester in the 2nd quarter of 1897.

Ann/Annie was the wife of Edwin REID. Ann was baptised 03 Jan 1849.

In the 1891 census Ann was living at Mere Road, Leicester.

Would appreciate some assistance to locate Ann's burial please.

In addition are there other folk interred at the same plot?

By the way, do you have any connection with a Jarvis family? I ask because there are Jarvis graves on either side of the Reid grave.

Hello Annie and groom,

Thanks so much for your input.  In addition how do you know she Ann [mother] died in the workhouse?

You ask if I have connection to JARVIS.  Yes I do however to date I have only located them in Stathern and Hose from 1698 to mid 1700s

Many thanks once again as I didn't have the last two children.

The workhouse registers show this:

admitted. 16 Feb 1897; Annie Reid, shopkeeper, aged 48, married, church of England. There's nothing in the "observations" column to explain why she was admitted.
discharged 21 April 1897 - deceased.

Then she was discharged before she went in  ;D

If she was still a wife on her death cert. her husband was still alive and his occupation would be on there. re your other thread.
