Albert Ryland HARDING

I am researching the WW1 hospital here is Walton on Thames, UK, known as NZ General Hospital No 2 (Mount Felix).  The above man died at the hospital on 10 December 1918 and is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery.  Although he was a New Zealander he was serving in 9 Battalion AIF and his number was 2701A.  I would like to find a photograph of him but I have not been able to find one anywhere in Australia.  Is there anyone in NZ who happens to have a photograph of this man?

The Albert Ryland Harding noted in Paperspast was still serving with the Australian Forces at the time of his death.  Have you tried looking for an Australian military file?  Do they have photos?

Further to Minnie's reply #5 also on Ancestry, there are numerous trees for Albert .... there are even photos of his parents.

You will find that the NZ BDM issued a death certificate for him,and for many other New Zealanders who died when in uniform in the defence of the British Empire, during WWI.  I learnt this perhaps ten or so years ago, here at RootsChat, on the NZ board.
