This history points to Fermanagh Co., Ireland.
However I cannot find the birth record suggested by ADC.
Too, there is strong evidence that this individual is connected to another family in Westmeath Co Ireland.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Interested in the US-McDUNN / MCADEN / MCADDEN / MUCKEDON family history, and variants Westmeath Co. Ireland.  Have read parts of John McDunn's scholarly work on the US-McDunn descendants of Patrick Muckedon of Winetown Co. Westmeath, Ireland.

Genealogy without sources is fiction. Someone else said that, not me.

He's found in 56 trees on ancestry. Have you asked any of the owners what their source was for a Co. Fermanagh birth?

If you have pretty good proof that the man in Iowa is from Westmeath, then I would stick with it. Ancestry trees can be good hints for what you don't know, but if your research is sound, I definitely wouldn't change my mind about it based on one of their trees.
