Harold Kemble
« on: Monday 18 November 19 16:13 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find out More about the military career of Harold Kemble in WW2.

Harold was born 21/1/1915 and lived at Forest Gate London E7. He joined the army in 1939 and was in the Royal Artillery and served in France and Italy. He was later transferred to the a Royal Irish Fusilliers.

This is for my paternal cousin and Harry was his maternal uncle

Thank you not sure what else would be available.

Service records for people serving after 1920 are still with the MOD.
To apply, see: https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records.

You will need a copy of a death certificate, and there is a fee of £30.

Thank you KG. I thought it might be the case. I will pass the information on to my cousin.

Hi Jennifer C,
My paternal grandfather is Harry Kemble (not Harold) with this date of birth from London. It’s possible your cousin is my Dads cousin! He says he lost touch with his Dads family. Let me know if there’s a potential link
Thanks

Hi sorry have not been on this board for a while.

I have spoken to my cousin and he knows of David and brother John going to Australia, but has lost contact with you.

If you post a couple of more replies I can private message you his email address.
