Hello
I have an ancestor – the above-mentioned John GOODCHILD – whom I believe to be the son of a William GOODCHILD and his wife Margery (they baptised a child of that name on 25 September 1614), but I'm a bit concerned these aren't my John's parents, because he isn't mentioned in William's (died 1622) or Margery's (died 1647) wills while their other children are. Obviously there are a number of reasons as to why someone might be missed off a will, but one of those is that they were no longer alive.
To that end, would someone be able to check the burial records for a John GOODCHILD at some point prior to 1622? I'm hoping that none is found since I've grown rather attached to William and Margery, but we're all after the truth, even if it's not what we want to hear.
Thanks in anticipation.
