Frederick Albert Robson England to Edmonton, Alberta
« on: Tuesday 19 November 19 19:46 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking any information on Frederick Albert Robson. He was born March 25, 1896 in Surrey, England to John Robson and Ellen Burfoot. He emigrated to Canada prior to 1916. According to his Attestation 1/3/1916 made in Saskatchewan he was single at the time. He died April 27, 1972 and was buried in Beechmount Cemetery, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am trying to find out if he was ever married and had children. Thank you in advance.
Karen

Possibly you have year of birth wrong
There is a tree on A******y which gives the d,o,b, as you have given it - the tree also gives p.o.b. as E Dulwich Kent

birth reg shows
Frederick Albert Robson mmn Burfoot birth reg Jun qtr 1894 Camberwell reg district
on other records his d,o,b, is given as 25 mar 1894
He was enrolled in S Norwood Boys School Croyden Surrey 16 May 1902
and
Portland Road Boys School Croydon Surrey 26 July 1905
both records give his d.o.b. as 25 mar 1894
1901 census gives p.o.b. as E Dulwich kent
1911 census gives p.o.b. as Camberwell
parents are John William Burrell Robson and Ellen Elizabeth Burfoot -they married 28 Apr 1879 St mary magdalene Peckham Surrey
It looks like Ellen Elizabeth died 1909
By 1911 Frederick Albert was boarding with a couple in Croydon -so he musy have emigrated between 1911-1916

I cannot find a death date for his father either. On Frederick's Attestation papers he lists his father as next of kin living at 5 Evelyn Road in Surrey. Frederick's mother, Ellen (nee Burfoot) died in Croydon, Surrey in January of 1909. Is it possible for me to attain a copy of the school admission records?
